Our Take
Inciteful is a lightweight, genuinely fast citation-network tool: give it one or two papers and it builds a graph, then ranks the most important papers connecting them and the key authors and venues. Its Literature Connector (find the path between two papers) is a neat, distinctive feature. It’s free and quick, with a plainer interface than the polished discovery tools, and it’s built on open citation data. Use it for rapid citation-network analysis and to find the literature bridging two ideas; do the exhaustive search elsewhere.
Power Tips
- Use the Literature Connector to find the papers linking two seemingly separate works.
- Seed with a couple of papers to rank the most important related work quickly.
- Check the top authors and journals it surfaces to find where a subfield lives.
