Our Take
Preprint culture is regionally uneven, and if your scanning relies only on Anglophone servers like arXiv and bioRxiv, you are systematically late on research from China — a country producing an ever-larger share of the world’s science. ChinaXiv is the fix: the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ own preprint server, where CAS-affiliated work often appears first. The obvious barriers are language and the usual preprint caveat that content is unreviewed. Fold it into any serious horizon-scan on a fast-moving technical field; treat individual claims as provisional and verify before citing.
