Our Take

Deduklick is the commercial high end of deduplication — reported at 99.51% recall and 100% precision in testing, against roughly 88.65% for manual EndNote deduplication, which is a meaningful accuracy gap when a missed duplicate or wrongly-removed record can distort a systematic review. For HTA agencies and review teams that need validated, hands-off dedup and can fund it, it’s compelling. The catch is simply cost versus the free ASySD, which is very good in its own right. Use it when validated, near-perfect dedup justifies the spend; otherwise ASySD covers most needs.

Power Tips

  • Reach for Deduklick when a review’s stakes justify validated, near-perfect dedup over the manual or built-in approach that leaves duplicates behind (Issue 3)
  • whichever tool you use, deduplicate against a master “screened” library so repeat imports surface already-seen records (Issue 3).
