Our Take

African research is chronically under-represented in the commercial indexes, and AfricArXiv exists to close that gap — a community effort to give African scholarship a discoverable, openly licensed home and to do it multilingually rather than English-only. For anyone building a genuinely global evidence base, it surfaces work you simply won’t find in Scopus or WoS. As a community preprint portal its scale is smaller and its content unreviewed, so it’s a discovery-and-equity layer rather than a citation database. Include it whenever comprehensive or geographically fair coverage matters; verify individual findings as you would any preprint.

Power Tips
