The Research Assistant is Clarivate’s direct answer to Scopus AI, and it inherits Web of Science’s real strength — a curated, selectively indexed collection with deep citation history rather than everything that carries a DOI. Its query-building help is the most practical part, translating a vague research question into the structured syntax that makes Web of Science powerful. As with every RAG layer on a licensed index, outputs vary between runs and it summarizes a subset rather than the whole collection, so keep the generated narrative out of your methods section and the underlying query in it.
