Our Take
Érudit is the main home of Canadian French-language humanities and social-science research, and it’s largely open — a strong example of the diamond-OA-leaning model in the Francophone world. For Québec studies and Canadian Francophone scholarship it’s the primary source. It’s regional and discipline-focused. Use it as the open source for Canadian Francophone research; pair with Cairn.info for the European French-language literature.
Power Tips
- Use Érudit as a free source for Canadian and Québécois humanities/social-science research, mindful of the moving wall on recent issues of some journals
- pair with Cairn.info so your Francophone coverage spans both Canada and Europe.
